Jules King (Winner):
Jules King’s journey as a CrossFit competitor living with Parkinson’s disease exemplifies resilience and strength. Training with Crossfit Pembrokeshire Jules reached the pinnacle of success this year, securing a bronze medal worldwide in the neuro-major category at the CrossFit Games in Texas. As a role model Jules is making an incredible mark in the world of crossfit, breaking boundaries and inspiring countless others facing obstacles. Jules’s dedication, including her daily ice pod therapy which is only for the bravest, highlights her indomitable spirit.
Evelyn Thomas (Runner-Up):
At just 17, Evelyn Thomas’s ascent in Para-Powerlifting has been exceptional. Joining SAW Cymru post-COVID, Evelyn demonstrated her remarkable potential, swiftly advancing to compete in Welsh and British National Championships. She is the current Welsh Senior champion holding Welsh records at both junior and senior levels. Recognized by British Para-Powerlifting, Evelyn has been invited to the GB Talent Identification Programme. She advocates for the programme and for Team Wales by speaking publicly and sharing her experience with others.
Marc Evans (Runner-up):
Marc Evans joined Fishguard Thunderbolts in 2022 and swiftly established himself as a powerhouse in Welsh disability sports. Marc embarked on a journey from novice cricketer to Welsh international cricketer within two years. His dedication led him to the Wales hardball team and earned him a Welsh cap. An invaluable team member, Marc’s efforts inspire younger athletes within the Thunderbolts club, where he has been named “Most Improved Player.”
